The annual award presentation evening for the 2009/10 season, which took place at Yateley School.

When Yateley FC Youth received its latest kit from Sponsors Alexander & law it was left with 400 pairs of redundant shirts and shorts. It turned out to be a very good thing for football mad children on a different continent. For the club decided to donate the kit to a scheme at Yateley School, which has links to the Marafa District in Kenya.

Teachers Steve and Sarah Miller founded the project and have spent 16 years raising money for the schools in the region. During a trip to the school in the summer of 2007, Mrs Miller handed over the first bags of shirts and shorts along with some footballs. She said the children were thrilled with the kits. Don Cleeve, the then Chairman of the Yateley FC Youth, said the club was only too happy to help out. “We are delighted to be able to provide kit for such a worthy cause. This is an excellent example of a Yateley Community Project. I would like to thank all our past kit sponsors, many of whom remain sponsors and continue to fund other important kit needs”.
